"This was truly one of the best and most exciting experiences of my life."

By June she was working on the set of her first feature length film, thrilled with the talent and professionalism of the cast and crew of Three Easy Payments. “Everyone involved had such tireless dedication and pioneer spark that each day on set was an inspiration.” Kate is pleased to announce that the work on Reel Buckeye’s film has already led to new projects and she has recently finished work on a second local film! I would like to thank this network of young and eager filmmakers in Columbus. PACE Bitches!

Nolan Martin as Vern

About Nolan: Nolan is an actor who plays the part of Vern, the creepy yet misunderstood character with a heart of gold. About Mike: Mike DeNoble graduated with a business degree, but shortly afterwards was drawn to acting. After studying with various acting teachers, Mike has been fortunate enough to act on both stage and screen. In Three Easy Payments he plays the part of Austin. He would like to thank everyone involved for being so energetic and excited about making a film, while at the same time maintaining the level of professionalism required to make such a quality project. He hopes to be able to work with individuals of Reel Buckeye again in the future.

She loves the benefits of being an actress - shoes and lip-gloss.

Crew

Adam Rex, Director

Year in college: graduate of OSU, Fall 06
Hometown: Defiance, OH
About Adam: After co-producing Detachment for Buckeye Searchlight Productions in 2004, Adam knew that making movies is what he wanted to do. For the Reel Buckeye Project, he has stepped into the role of the Director. He is extremely excited to be given the chance to work on this project. "I know that I am going to learn a great deal on this project and hope that the rest of the cast and crew do as well."

Amira Soliman, Producer

Year in college: Senior
Hometown: Amira is originally from Egypt, but refers to Columbus, OH as her hometown.
About Amira: This is Amira Soliman, hard at work. Amira was involved in the Buckeye Searchlight Project in 2004, and she is "mega-excited to start working on a feature film again". Amira is an International Studies and Film Theory and Production major, and knows that the Reel Buckeye Project is the best thing she can do to learn how to make a movie. She loves production, kittens, cameras, moving images, apples, and film in general. Amira also loves to clean up the Schottenstein Center for money.

Daniel Chance Ross, 1st Assistant Director
Year in college: Senior
Hometown: Twinsburg, OH
About Chance: "I was highly involved in the first project by Buckeye Searchlight, Detachment, and have moved up in the ranks and have more responsibility for this project. Why do I do it? I love it! Anything and everything about film. Working on Detachment was a life changing experience. I know now that I NEVER want to work in a cubicle because 'playing movies' is way too much fun. No need for Hollywood. Make things happen yourself!!"

Marti Babcock, Production Team
Year in college: Senior
Hometown: Port Clinton, OH
About Marti: Marti has enjoyed her Reel Buckeye experience greatly and she is fond of all the special people she has met. Along with the rest of the crew, she shares fond memories of “that’s what she said” and the “other” movie game that everyone kept playing. By the way, she did beat Chance once. In the future Marti would like to keep making movies and hopes to one day direct. Also, Marti enjoys apples, things that have polka dots, and her black kitty, Emma. Things that Marti does not enjoy are irons, alarm clocks, and iguana cages.

Kristina Hall, Unit Production Manager

Year in college: Senior
Hometown: Westerville, OH
About Kristina: As one of the three founding members of Reel Buckeye Productions, I hope to follow Buckeye Searchlight's example of what students can do with limited resources to create a feature length film. I believe we can and have learned a lot from BSL, and I look forward to a lot of hard work and rewards from the process of making our very own film.

Christopher Comeau, Director of Photography

Zach Glueck, Lead Editor
Year in college: Senior(ish)
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
About Zach: Zach was proudly uninvolved with the Buckeye Searchlight
project, though he does own a copy of Detachment which he likes to watch
for a good chuckle now and then. Zach was placed in the role of editor,
which is to say he stands at the end of the production process and
scolds everyone else with an undeserved holier-than-thou attitude. Zach
is an English major who has no interest in anything other than
filmmaking, improv and sketch comedy. In his free time, Zach often
writes about himself in the third person or plays with his cat.
